DINING IN DALLASIn preparation for our group's trip to Dallas this year, and with an awareness of my fellow traveler's sophisticated palates, I did some research of the "Big D's" restaurant industry. Armed with maps and reviews of Dallas' diverse and innovative cuisine offerings, we boarded our Dallas charter bus for a culinary cruise. Expecting to see miles of the stereotypical steakhouses and barbecue roadhouses of Texas lore, my group was surprised to see a plethora of Asian, Italian, Mexican, and Island cuisine. Little did they know when entered the world renowned downtown Nieman Marcus that morning, that an equally unforgettable experience awaited them across the street. Laden with bags from our morning consumer frenzy and famished, we lightened our load by depositing our goods on the Dallas charter bus that patiently sat at the ready, nearby. We crossed the street into the renovated Power & Light building and entered into an Asian Oasis known as Fuse. Aptly named - Fuse is exactly that, a fusion of industrial and Asian décor complete with a bamboo water garden, serving an eclectic fusion of Tex-Asian cuisine. |
